Laughing Dove (2/6)

Streptopelia senegalensis  

These guys almost had the last laugh - we spent ten days in south-west WA without seeing this apparently common bird - but then on the last morning we drove into the park at Herdsman Lake, Perth while actually discussing the fact that we hadn't seen any and as I brought the car to a stop there were two of them on the ground only a metre or so from us! After that we saw them everywhere for the rest of the day.
